The effects of 680 as well as 830 nm lasers on osseointegration was studied by Blay. 30 grown-up rats were split into three teams; two laser teams as well as one control. The rats in both laser teams had pure titanium Frialit-2 implants implanted into each proximal metaphysis of their corresponding tibias, put with a 40 Ncm torque.
